Thistle
Last year I came accross a thistle growing by the side of the road and was struck by how gorgeous this weed was! The flower itself just seemed to glow and it had an almost faceted shape to it. I've done a watercolor of it and now an oil painting. I still have more paintings in mind for it, though.

This is so well done, Donna. I love the mood of it. Lively, the thistle is glowing. The background vegetation is well painted also. Just Gorgeous! I didn't look to see how big it is but I imagine it is gorgeous in person!
