Julia

Last Tuesday night our model was Julia. What a wonderful model she was. I wish I were really able to do her justice. I would love to have more than 3 short hours to do her portrait. I hope that with our continual Tuesday night practice that some day I will be able to whip out an accurate, sensitive and revealing work of art.

This is Bill

The only thing real about this painting is Bill. Bill was our Tuesday night model and he was wearing the straw hat, the casual shirt, shorts and boat shoes. So, I thought I'd put him relaxing on vacation somewhere. Even the chair is a product of my imagination. I wish I could have been in that beautiful sunny place by the sea myself.

In the painting that Ijust did, I thought she kind of got lost into the background, so I changed the color of her shirt to orange.
