I have a few days off this week so I've made a list of everything that I want to get done during this time. Something at the very top of my list is to complete ideas that I've had for paintings and finish them up. I've been meaning to put some poppies in this painting since I first painted it and now they are in.

Sarah found a guitar at an antique store, so she bought it! She was only in there with her friend, not planning on buying anything herself and had left her purse in the car. But, quietly off to the side was this guitar and as she walked by she gently strummed the strings with her fingers. The sweet sound made her stop. Hmm. It sounded nice! And, what a bargain -less than fifty dollars! Her friend asked her if she was even going to think about it but her mind was made up and she bought it. Now she is going to learn how to play it.

Paint-out Today!

The Arts Association here in town sponsored a paint out today. It was the first paint out that I've participated in, and, what an enjoyable day. We checked in at 8:30 am, had the back of our supports stamped and then were free for the rest of the day to paint for as long as we wanted. No working on the paintings once we got home though. That would be cheating. Tomorrow we will have a showing of all the artist's works.
